Be in The Know: Searchbug Announces Important Change for New Accounts
Since 1995, Searchbug has been providing you with the best quality data on the market. Last 2019, if you recall, we redesigned our website to make it easier to navigate and understand. We’re excited to announce another major change and simplification to our sign-up process!
As a Searchbug user, we value you, and we want to be sure that you’re one of the first to know about these changes this 2022. From now on we will have one standard Searchbug account with two add-on options: 1) SSN Verifications and 2) Restricted Access.
In other words, a Standard account with SSN Verification Add-on is the former Business Account and Standard account with Restricted Access is the former Professional Account. New users will sign up for a standard account with no option to select between the Personal or Business. There is now only one Searchbug account type and it also inherited features that were previously only available to business accounts:
– Multi-user support
– Non-Credit Card payment options
We will identify all newly created accounts as ‘Standard’. After the user creates an active account, they can then apply for SSN Verification Access or Restricted Access from the standard Searchbug account they created. If an add-on is requested, the account will remain active while our team reviews the application.
How To Create Searchbug Account
When creating an account, a user can optionally enter a business name and industry. They can also add other business information to ‘Your Account’ later. However, that will not make it a “business” account. They will still need to apply for SSN Verification or Restricted Access, regardless of the fact if they have business details listed on their account or not.
SSN Verification Access gives the user permission to use SSN Validator and Name/SSN Match tool and API. Moreover, we treat SSN Verification Access applications the same as Business Account requests. The user will need to enter business details (if not entered already) and provide all the required documentation.
We hope that this makes it easier for our users to make the most of our tools and to try out the full range of our services. The only thing we changed is the creation of new accounts, and it will not affect any pricing. Searchbug is still a pay-per-use platform—no commitments, no setup fees, no monthly minimums. Pay only when you use it!For more detailed information, you may visit our account types page.
