SearchBug Moves to Downtown Encinitas
The corporate offices of SearchBug, Inc. have moved. We are now located in downtown Encinitas, California. Just 1 block to Moonlight Beach.
Downtown Encinitas is a great place to work. You might find us taking a break at the beach just one block west or at many of the great eateries in downtown Encinitas.
We’re just a short walk to many of the great restaurants including Q’ero, Union Kitchen & Tap, St. Germains Cafe, Siamese Basil, Trattoria I Trulli, Swami’s Cafe, Blue Ribbon Artizan, Manhattan Giant Pizza, Encinitas Ale House, D Street Bar & Grill, Vigilucci’s and so many more.
Plus we can just stroll down to the new Whole Food’s Market which features some great fresh salads and even my favorite Gluten Free Grilled Veggie Pizza. We’re also just a few minute walk to the Encinitas Lumberyard which features great shopping and restaurants as well.
One of my favorite events is put on by the Downtown Encinitas MainStreet Association is the Encinitas Street Fair. Every year usually in late April the South Coast Highway 101 is shut down in Encinitas from D Street all the way to J Street and is chock full of wonderful vendors selling everything from your favorite sweet fresh kettle corn, fantastic artwork, fresh BBQ and wonderful street vendors cooking up your favorites, to hats for your canine companions. If you ever plan to check out the downtown Encinitas street fair wear your walking shoes and bring your dog. It’s a great time and you’ll find me down there with my family.
Downtown Encinitas has lots of history, which includes the La Paloma Theatre. La Paloma (The Dove) was one of the first theaters to show “Talkies.” Talking pictures premiered in 1927 with the Warner Bros. film “The Jazz Singer” starring Al Jolson. La Paloma Theatre opened on February 11, 1928 with the film “The Cohen’s And Kelly’s in Paris.” The gala event was attended by Hollywood starlet and soon to be Academy Award winner Mary Pickford.
