Contact information found in White and Yellow Pages is available on SearchBug for FREE. The data is current, updated monthly but limited to published listings. About 50% of people in US are not listed. It includes those who switched regular phone lines for a cell phone or VoIP (e.g. Vonage). Most of the research tools (e.g., landline or cell phone, zip code lookup, address verification, stats) are free as well. Some free tools are limited to 10-50 searches per day for non-members. Free basic SSN verification and death records search requires an account.
Public Records
SearchBug provides fee-based access to public records (premium data). Public records is information that has been created, filed or recorded by various government agencies (vital records, real estate records, criminal records, etc.) or by the individual (magazine subscriptions, voter registration, etc.). Account is not required to search public records.
Regulated Data
Qualified businesses can obtain access to data sources not available to general public. Regulated data contains non-public personal information like SSNs and driver licence numbers. Permissible usage of information is regulated by Federal and State privacy acts (FCRA, GLBA, DPPA, etc.). This high-quality data can significantly increase the success rate of skip tracing, fraud prevention and help you make better decisions in hiring and tenant screening.
Paying and PricingPay As You Go
Non-members can use credit card to pay for each report or premium search. No discounts apply.
Prepaid Plans
When you open account, you will be asked to provide credit card and select prepay amount. The minimum is $25 for personal and $50 for business account. This is not a monthly charge. You use you prepaid balance to pay for your orders. Your balance never expires and can be refunded when you close your account. When there is not enough funds for your order, we will charge your credit card the prepay amount you've selected. With prepaid plan you avoid multiple small charges on your credit card bill. Detailed usage and billing statistics are available. Now the best part ... Prepaid plan offer progressive discounts - the more you prepay, the bigger the discount is (see table below).

Account TypesPersonal Account
This is a cost effective way to find relatives or lost friends. Your get unlimited access to free published data (White Pages) and discounted pricing for unpublished data and public records.
Business Account
Business account gives you access to SSN verification tools and supports multiple usres. You also get additional business discount on all orders. A designated administrator from your company can manage user accounts, billing info and run detailed usage reports.
Verified Business Account
Once you have regular Business Account, you can go through additional verification process to gain access to regulated data sources not available for general public. Deeper discounts apply.
